Cindi Rose Wylie

Rosebrook Farm, Trainer

Cindi Wylie combines her life long love of horses, her educational background in Clinical Psychology and Animal Behavior, and her passion for learning every time she puts her boots on.  An avid rider almost since birth, Cindi has studied the art of dressage exclusively for the last twenty years.

In 2006, Cindi opened the door to Rosebrook Farm, a 37 acre state of the art dressage facility, dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in dressage.  The Rosebrook Facility enables Cindi to not only give her students and horses the best learning environment possible, but also allows her to tailor training programs to the individual horses and riders needs.  Her dedication is evident not just in her work here at the farm, but in her work at both the Regional and National levels, through her volunteer efforts with organizations such as NEDA and the USDF, where she has served many official roles representing both educational and membership interests.

While Cindi works hard at being the best that she is both personally and professionally each day, her love for all horses shows clearly in her basic philosophy that dressage benefits all horses and riders.  For this reason you see a great variety of horses at the farm, both European and American bred, as well as riders of all levels.  In Cindi's training programs, the horses become more relaxed, supple, obedient, and rideable through progressive gymnastic exercises. Cindi also puts great emphasis on the riders seat, helping the rider become more balanced, relaxed, and supple, allowing them greater refinement in their aids, necessary for the clear yet subtle communication between horses and rider, which is intrinsic to all dressage training.  Cindi has trained many horses to the Grand Prix movements and has students currently competing successfully through the Grand Prix  levels.

Her philosophy is most evident in her latest Grand Prix partner, a Morgan cross gelding, sired by the Morgan stallion, Tenacity, who Cindi also trained and rode.  While Audacity was purchased for her children to ride, Cindi soon recognized his talent for collection, and in 2007 the pair debuted successfully in the Grand Prix arena.  Over the next three years, Cindi and Audi qualified her 'little guy' for Devon.  This was the second time Cindi qualified and placed on a non-warmblood horse for the presigious "Dressage at Devon" horse show at the Grand Prix level, the first time being on Kriter in 1999, an American Thoroughbred who placed sixth in the Grand Prix.  Audi and Cindi also appeared at The Bearspot Farm Freestyle Challenge, for two years, placing third behind former Olympian Dottie Morkis and her coach, Sue Jaccoma.

In 2010, through a partnership formed with Shooting Stars Dressage Horses, LLC, Cindi was able to purchase young warmbloods for training and resale with the guidance of friend Kareen Heineking Schutte of GermanHorseConnection.com.  Cindi's versatility as a rider and a trainer was once again proven when one of these warmbloods, Folcano, finished the USEF Young Horse Championship qualifying season in first place for the USEF Test for Four Year Old Horses!  As a matter of fact, in 2010, Cindi with the Westfalen youngsters, Edelrubin and Folcano, were Year End Champion and Reserve Champion not only in the USDF All Breeds Awards, but also Regionally winning Championships in two divisions as well as Reserve Champions with the New England Dressage Association.

While Cindi has had the honor of working with many very talented clinicians, and instructors, including Cristoph Hess, Steffen Peters, Rien van der Schafft, Ingrid Klimke, David DeWispelaere, Lilo Fore, Michael Poulin, Josef Knipp, Ruth Sarkunas, Jean Luc Cornille, Ralf Isselhorst, Karl Milkolka, and Pam Goodrich, most recently has had the opportunity to train extensively with Sue Jaccoma.
